I just acquired a new daughter-in-law last November, and I am fortunate that she and I like (and love) each other a lot. It's a blessing for sure. Sometimes it's hard not to interfere, but I always try to remember to respect her, my son, and their marriage. Note to self: Do the same when they become parents!

GOD BLESS!Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00840994989201507494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198379419907919214.post-38329033027191468722014-08-11T15:12:20.644-07:002014-08-11T15:12:20.644-07:00What great advice for parents as children get marr...What great advice for parents as children get married. I have two awesome SILs and one beautiful DIL. It is my son and DIL who just had their first child May 21. My DIL had some difficulty that kept her in bed the first week so my son from the start was a hands on daddy and loved it. I raised 3 children and yet whenever I hold Kylen, my son is a hawk. "Mom hold him up a bit more." "Mom tilt the bottle differently" I smile, do as instructed and praise the Lord.
Personally, I share your rules and know they work as I have not had any difficulty with my SILs or DIL. Praise Him! Be blessed!Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16235486703363466753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198379419907919214.post-24102897936719848782014-08-10T13:58:48.456-07:002014-08-10T13:58:48.456-07:00Great list of suggestions. I'm just glad though, that now my 3 daughters have MILs who love them as their own and adore the grandkids we share.
You wrote a lovely tribute to your own MIL - what a thoughtful sweetheart she was!Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07359404486512786477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198379419907919214.post-2054669946810146922014-08-09T09:01:25.461-07:002014-08-09T09:01:25.461-07:00This is a great post and I would love to be a moth...This is a great post and I would love to be a mother in law some day. I have heard other women talk through the years saying daughter-in-laws are very difficult...I hear my daughters saying Mother-in-laws can be difficult..
