Thanks for the useful reminders to review books first and to make sure they're up-to-date- definitely important. beka1211https://www.blogger.com/profile/18241154469861447769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198379419907919214.post-35613608204460886712017-05-06T21:24:27.889-07:002017-05-06T21:24:27.889-07:00You made some valid points here. We generally read the bible as a family during our morning worship, but our children are getting old enough we think they should be reading on their own. We have six children, and the oldest is nine. She'd say, "Almost ten." :).

We've also enjoyed some biographies, especially missionaries. Keep up the great work directing your children toward the Lord!Scott LaPierrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04391157389415004625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198379419907919214.post-47152383151370702532017-04-26T05:52:14.784-07:002017-04-26T05:52:14.784-07:00Yes! I couldn't agree more about filtering first what your children read! Some of the most popular books read by children are full of garbage and name calling. I love sticking mostly to the classics that reflect on our Lord. Also, reading aloud to the children daily, even when they are teens, is so important and builds a closer family relationship. :)Shannon Wallacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15858693364105977689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5198379419907919214.post-44246258711141736512017-04-25T14:45:46.879-07:002017-04-25T14:45:46.879-07:00These are sweet little stories of little ones and ...These are sweet little stories of little ones and their love of books, and a great saying about wearing an old coat and reading a new book. I started out as a book loving child too and became a librarian and writer. Teacher sounds a natural too.Terra https://www.blogger.com/profile/04396481049075747940noreply@blogger.com
