Sheltering with Little Things

Let a living faith run like threads of gold through the performance of even the smallest duties. Then all the daily work will promote Christian growth.
                  ~Ellen White

What is it that makes a good marriage great? It's the little things.

   Morning tea
         Peeling the tomatoes
              I love you e-mails
                   Smiles across the room

Jesus loved little things.

    A tiny sparrow
         A widow's mite
              A cup of water
                   A small child

If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities
(Luke 16:10).

Faithful in the little things:

     Praising before asking
          Soft answers
               Choosing joy
                    Mustard seed faith

Thomas Merton said, Every moment and every event of every person's life on earth plants something in their soul.   I want to make the most of my moments, in my marriage, and in my walk with God.

I'm so thankful for this truth. So much of my life is spent "only" in little things. Yet little things matter! Thanks, Pamela.

I love this post. Often we tend to concentrate on the big and fail to see the blessings in the little things.

So true, what a sweet post. We can never give in, give up or give over to our flesh, we must remain faithful.

It is the little things that so often get overlooked, yet is often the little things that matter the most. I loved your family photo and your blog too; it is warm, honest, great food for thought. Thank you for visiting my blog "From Barb's Spiritual Journals." I studied the 7 churches not too long ago. Really enjoyed it.

It's all those "little things" that add up to something big. Little things mean a lot is a song that comes to my mind just now.
Blessings,
Charlotte

A little thing to me today was tasting the sweetness of a just-the-right-ripe peach. I'm so glad he cares about the little things. So many fine details he's created and given us to enjoy.
It was fun to think of these today through your sharing.
Blessings.

Such a beautiful reminder. He tells us to not despite the day of small beginnings. Just because something is perceived as small, it is making huge impact in the Kingdom. Thank you for linking up with Fresh Brewed Sundays this week.
