Well.... I am a follower.... I don't get a chance to get on all the time, but I do enjoy your blog. I thought that it was quite wonderful the way that Melanie is helping out Annalisa Taylor. Annalisa and I share quite a history :) She was a part of the group that I went to Honduras with, and was one of my friends here at college. Small world!!!

And.... as far as my favorite Christmas book... you know me, can I simply pick one? Probably one of my favorites is Brentwood by Grace Livingston Hill.

Of course I'm a follower. :-)

As for my favorite Christmas book, that's a tough one. King nor Deaver have written one yet. :-) Guess I'll have to go with a classic: Dicken's "A Christmas Carol."

Enjoy your blog and I do follow it!

Ahem....I was your very first faithful follower! (Long before you even started this site ~ :> ) And whether I am one of the names selected, or not, I get great delight out of each and every post, because I know all three off the beautiful women behind the words!!!

Oops...forgot about the book! Where to start?? Which to choose???? For a heartwarming 'fluff' read, I like "Mistletoe Reunion" by Anna Schmidt. I'm all about fixing and reuniting, especially where there are children involved. Lovely little story!! For a more classical approach, I have read "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" each year around Christmas for the past 20 (plus) years. It is not exactly a Christmas story, but the Christmas's of the Nolan family are fascinating to me as the story unfolds through many years of their lives. It's a fascinating era to me.

I'm not sure that I have a favorite Christmas book! The one I do remember the most is The Grinch that Stole Christmas because I read it to my boys and it scared them!! So we put it away!

However, my favorite Christmas cartoon movie was Charlie Brown's Christmas for some reason!!

I couldn't say I have a favorite Christmas book (except a simple nativity story book that has exceptionally beautiful illustrations that I read to my kids), but the one I read most recently is "The Christ of Christmas" by Calvin Miller... And if I were to win, I'd probably buy another one of his books I saw on Amazon :>)

We just borrowed a book from the church library called Mary's First Christmas by Walter Wangerin, Jr. and illustrated by Timothy Ladwig. It is a beautiful interpretation of the Christmas story written as Mary telling a young-boy-Jesus about his birth. A really neat perspective!

My favorite Christmas book is actually a children's book, Patricia St. John's "Treasures of the Snow". I read it to my children when they were small and now that I think of it I will get it out for the grandchildren to read. Thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks for your beautiful "Sheltering" you provide for me. Your blog certainly adds sunshine to my days. I particularly enjoy your blog, having known you in other times and places. My favorite book to read in the Christmas season is "Polar Express." When my daughter was in gradeschool, she was in a play adapted from this book. "Gigi" Susan

My mom has a Christmas ornament that is actually a little book called the Christmas Bear. When we were younger, my brother and I would fight over who would get to hang it on the tree. We would always read it on the night that we decorated the tree. Wonder who mom will end up giving that book to one of these days??

I am drawing a blank on Christmas books at the moment so I will also say How The Grinch Stole Christmas, but seriously, I'm sure there's some heartwarming story I just can't think of at the moment!
