Remembering with Gratitude and a Giveaway

Gratitude: the quality of being thankful;
readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

I didn't know what to expect when I started my blog in 2010. All I knew is God led me to the journey.

What I didn't know when I started:

1. How hard it would be to write authentically when my real-life        friends read my blog.
2. How time consuming blogging would be.
3. How other bloggers would freely share their knowledge.
4. How rewarding blogging would be.
5. How many sweet friends I would make around the world.
6. That I would still be blogging 31/2 years later.
7. That I couldn't imagine not blogging.

So this is my chance to show my appreciation to you, my dear friends -- and to return your kindness.

And if God is speaking to you about beginning a blog, answer the call. You'll be surprised with joy in your journey.

And the Lord said to me,
“Write my answer on a billboard, large and clear,
so that anyone can read it at a glance
and rush to tell the others.

Pamela,

It's so fun and worth it, isn't it? Time consuming for sure. The comments are what take my most time, and that I get behind on. :)

Re your comment on my post "Six breakfasts," Thanks, Pamela. Six breakfasts really breaks it down into manageable bits doesn't it? And I love the privilege of being involved in our teens' and former-teens' lives.

Have a great week,

What a pretty bowl! Nice giveaway :) "How do you shelter" I believe was the question, by actively helping in a practical spirit and praying in the spiritual one...

Hopefully I understood your question :)

Yes, yes, and yes to all those reasons to love blogging! I agree with every one. I had no idea that I was getting into something so wonderful when I started blogging. I praise God for it, and for getting to make friends like you. Thanks, Pam.

Hi Pam! Congrats on your 3.5 years blogging - you started just a couple months before I did! So blessed with all our dear sisters in this virtual world - always a retreat when I'm here. And - glad you were blessed by Part 1 of my retreat recap - I hope you checked out Part 2 - that's where the real meat and potatoes are!!
Joy!

Thank you for a lovely give away and congratulations on the joy and peace your blog has spread to so many!
I shelter by embracing my grandchildren. I entertain, educate, love and welcome them every day of my life. And, quite frankly, I clearly see the benefits of this not only in the children but their parents as well!

I envy you for your talent in blogging. Maybe I am just getting to where I feel comfortable enough with my on humanity to be vulnerable. Maybe it is age!
But, I try to shelter with some kind of contact - a card, an email, a phone call. I found a hug or a kind word of affirmation goes a long way to validate someone.
Love your blogs. And knowing you like I do, I know you are genuine! Love you!

I am so glad that you are blogging, Pamela!! I don't drop by as often as I like as blogging and life get in the way, but I sure know what you mean about blogging taking up scads of time, not being able to imagine life without blogging, and I know what you mean about 'real life' friends reading your blog!!
